Mizuno Baseball
Bats
The game of baseball continues to thrive in the
U.S.A. helping Mizuno to feed the demand with their
comprehensive range of baseball bats and accessories shown
below.
Welcome to our website. Athletes around the
world continue to choose Mizuno for their sporting goods.
Based in Japan, Mizuno continues to use research and
cutting edge technology to provide the tools that
dominate many sports throughout the world. Their
reputation is second to none when it comes to baseball
bats for example, particularly in the U.S.A. where
customer satisfaction for quality and value for money is
a demand, not a choice!
In 1896, the first official, modern Olympic
Games were held in Athens, Greece but it wasn’t until
1906 that the first Mizuno shop was opened selling
amongst other things, baseball bats. In 1907, the Mizuno
brothers began to sell athletic clothing made to order
and by 1910 ready made gear was on the
shelves.
Since then the company has gone from strength to
strength and is now a multi million dollar success
supplying products across the globe.
It is our mission to display and review some of
the most popular Mizuno baseball bats available today. We
hope you will enjoy the experience and look forward to
seeing you again soon.
Mizuno Natural Classic Bamboo Baseball
Bat: Priced anywhere from $53.47 to $69.99 and
including free shipping from some online stores, the
Classic Mizuno Baseball Bat demonstrates thirty years of
experience from a company that knows its baseball.
Available in four sizes 31”, 32”, 33” and 34”, this bat
is particularly robust and ideal for training. The weight
is 2 lbs for shipping purposes.
Mizuno
Cherry Custom Classic Maple Baseball Bat: On sale
from between $59.95 to $98.16 and available in different
sizes to suit the majority of players. The bat has been
created using maple for its strength and durability. It
features balancing for ultimate swing velocity and is hand
chosen from Japan. My review of this particular bat is
dominated by the cherry color which makes it unique and
striking although it does also come in a Mahogany shade to
please the masses.
Mizuno Black Custom Classic Ash Baseball
Bat: Only $49.99, available in three sizes, 32”,
33”, 34”, and weighs 3 lbs for shipping. This bat was used by
Todd Helton and has been designed using Northern White
Ash for resilience in the field. It is coated using a
double dipped grain sealant to control moisture and
enhance the durability. Truly a remarkable creation from
a leader in sporting goods.
Mizuno Composite Baseball Bat
(Wood): Brand new for $84.95 and shipped free
from some online stores. Options include copper or royal
blue colors and sizes of 32”, 33” and 34”. Designed using
a composite wooden material that has been specifically
engineered to give the same handling as a traditional
wooden bat but with a significant increase in durability.
The handle has been sanded to give a superior grip. I
particularly like the 90 day manufacturer’s limited
warranty which suggests a strong confidence from Mizuno
for this product.
Mizuno
Shadow Fastpitch Bat: $99.95 and rarely on
sale with good reason. I have saved, in my opinion, the best
till last. Made from a unique MZ 300 aluminium alloy
construction, the Fastpitch is a true champion amongst bats
providing a lightweight tool to knock the ball out of the
stadium. It features anti-shock composition including a
vibration dampening grip to ensure smooth handling and comes
in a range of sizes.
Baseball Games are
played between two teams consisting of nine players each.
Baseball is played outdoors in a grassy area called a
baseball diamond. It is shaped in the form of a diamond
consisting of four bases. The bases are white and they are
called first, second, third and fourth base. Fourth base is
normally called home base.
The layout within the Baseball Diamond called infielders
consists of four players. They reside on first base, second
base, shortstop and third base. The Shortstops position is
generally between second and third bases to cover a short
ground balls. There are times when the Shortstop can also play
between first and second bases.
Then there are the safe-keepers which are called outfielders.
There are three that protect every hit that passes beyond the
three bases. Each one has their own duty. The left fielder
protects second to third base. The center fielder catches
anywhere from second base and beyond. The right fielder has
first base. These players are the catch alls that gets all the
balls that are sky high.
The catcher has his hands full. He has to wear a face helmet
just in case the ball hits him. His position is behind the
current batter. The pitcher can throw many tricky throws and
tries very hard to strike out the batter. He resides in front
of the batter but in the middle of the field. The Umpire has be
to on constant guard as it is up to him to make the call on
whether or not he sees the play as safe or out. He is moving
behind both the batter and catcher, sometimes from side to side
but never too far away from home base as he is the gatekeeper
for that play.
This is a game of hit the ball and run, run, run. One has only
three chances to get to first base and sometimes it can be
tricky as the pitcher will do everything in his power to strike
you out. With practice there are endless opportunities for a
home run.
Walk is just that, walking to first base if the pitcher hasn't
been able to strike the batter out. This has it's advantages
and disadvantages depending on which batter is up. For example,
if there is a batter who is consistently batting home runs and
now is ordered to walk this can be a disadvantage.
Baseball Games contain nine innings and is a favorite past time
for many. Stadiums are filled with foods such as hot dogs,
hamburgers, and garlic fries. Beer, Soda and Wine are generally
served as well. These days many upscale restaurants have opened
up near the ballpark attracting much needed business. Some ball
parks are not limited to just playing Baseball Games but
because of their size are available for music concerts as
well.
That completes our reviews for now but

soon.
